Ensana expands into Germany with the Fürstenhof Hotel in Bad Griesbach

Bad Griesbach, Germany – 26 September, 2025 – Ensana, Europe’s leading health spa operator, is thrilled to announce its expansion into Germany with the signing of an agreement to operate the Fürstenhof Hotel in the renowned Lower Bavarian Spa Triangle town of Bad Griesbach in 2026. The hotel and spa will benefit from an extensive renovation and is due to re-open in Q2 next year. This marks Ensana’s first venture into the German market, a significant milestone in the company’s strategic growth within the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
The Fürstenhof Hotel, nestled in the heart of Bad Griesbach’s spa region, will undergo an extensive renovation to align with Ensana’s brand standards for health and wellness hospitality. The refurbishment will introduce state-of-the-art spa facilities, advanced medical and diagnostic services, and upper upscale accommodations, all designed to harness the region’s natural thermal springs and healing resources. Guests can expect a holistic experience combining Bad Griesbach’s mineral-rich waters with Ensana’s centuries of expertise in integrative medicine and natural therapies.
Strategically located within Europe’s largest golf resort, the Fürstenhof Hotel offers unparalleled access to world-class golfing facilities. Guests will enjoy proximity to five 18-hole championship courses, including the renowned Beckenbauer Golf Course and Porsche Golf Course, both designed by golf legend Bernhard Langer and located just minutes away from the hotel. Ensana will enhance the hotel’s golf offerings with exclusive packages, including preferential green fees and reserved tee times, ensuring a seamless experience for golf enthusiasts.

“We are delighted to bring Ensana’s unique health spa concept to Germany, starting with the Fürstenhof Hotel in Bad Griesbach,” said Frank Halmos, CEO of Ensana. “This allows us to introduce Ensana's unique health spa concept, combined with the hotel’s prime location near premier golf courses, to offer medical programmes and also a unique blend of wellness and active leisure offers.”
The renovation of Fürstenhof Hotel will focus on creating tailored health programs for musculoskeletal conditions, stress relief, and overall well-being, complemented by premium hospitality and golf services. The project is expected to elevate Bad Griesbach’s status as a premier health destination, attracting both domestic and international guests.
Ensana’s strategy includes further expansion in Germany and Austria, with Switzerland as a potential future location. The company aims to double its portfolio by 2030, focusing on historic spa towns and regions with rich natural resources.
