Salty Irrigation
The irrigation of the vagina with salt water is helpful in chronic gynaecological inflammations. During the procedure, 8-10 litres of 38-39°C warm salty water are used to wash out the vagina, by means of a disposable tube. The effects of the irrigation include decreased inflammation, antibacterial effects, improvement of the pH level in the vagina, regeneration of the vaginal mucus and stimulation of the inner reproductive organs by warmth and by the natural oestrogen-like compounds contained in the water.
