Carbon Dioxide Bath

What is a Carbon Dioxide Bath?

A carbon dioxide bath is a bathtub treatment at a temperature of 32–34°C, into which carbon dioxide is introduced in the form of tiny bubbles. Guests relax comfortably in the water while their skin comes into contact with the carbon dioxide bubbles, allowing some of the gas to be absorbed through the skin.

How does a Carbon Dioxide Bath work?

Carbon dioxide may cause the superficial blood vessels to dilate, improve peripheral circulation, and reduce blood pressure and the workload on the heart. The bath has a calming and relaxing effect and may contribute to cell regeneration and improved well-being by supporting circulation.
