With neurological diseases, i.e. diseases of the brain, spinal cord or the peripheral nervous system, the many accompanying symptoms and protracted impairments of bodily functions are usually treated. These are essentially:
- Paralyses
- Sensory disorders
- Back pain with/without radiation to another part of the body
During rehabilitation, impaired functions are stabilised or re-trained in order to achieve the highest possible degree of independence.
