Wedding Open Day Sunday 26th January 2025

Join us at our next wedding open day, on Sunday 26th January 2025 12.00pm - 16.00pm where you will be able to view the stunning Assembly Rooms and Bridal Suites all dressed to the nines. You’ll be able to see the beautiful styling of the Hotel whilst enjoying canapes and Fizz.

Plus, we’ll have a selection of our hand-picked suppliers who are all keen to help you create the day of your dreams.

Buxton Crescent is a beautifully elegant setting for both wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Grade-1 listed Georgian Hotel is in the idyllic spa town of Derbyshire

Originally built between 1779 – 1789 by the Fifth Duke of Devonshire, the Crescent is one of the most architecturally significant buildings in the country and provides a unique and exclusive backdrop for your wedding.

Inside the property’s uniquely curved honey-stone façade there is a hidden world full of exquisite luxury and authentic rich interiors, with a number of stunningly restored function rooms. These include the splendid 18th century Ballroom, know as the Assembly Rooms.

It’s the morning of your big day!

If you choose to stay with us the night before your wedding, why not arrange a Champagne Breakfast to your Suite and start the celebrations with your bridal party.

The hotels suites provide plenty of room for you to get ready.

Ceremonies

Civil Ceremonies & Partnerships.

We have a Civil Ceremonies License to conduct ceremonies and partnerships.

Please note a Civil Ceremony Room Hire is applicable and this is an additional charge which must be added onto your package price of £500.00.

As an exclusive use Wedding Venue, the hotel does not permit Ceremony only packages.

Before a date has been provisionally held with us, you need to contact the Bakewell Registry Office on 01629 535 075 to discuss dates, times and their fees.

To ensure your wedding day flows perfectly we recommend that your Civil Ceremony takes place between 12:00 - 14:00

Church Ceremonies

For couples who choose to exchange vows in Church, your day will continue with your drink’s reception at Buxton Crescent.

You and your guests will be greeted on the day at the entrance of the East Wing, into the Parlour. An ideal arrival time of 14:00 – 14:30.

Drinks Packages

Reception Drinks

Your drinks reception will take place by the Grand Staircase.

A glass of Champagne is included in the wedding package; however, you are welcome to upgrade this. Please note supplement prices may apply.

Why not enhance your Drinks Reception with mouth watering canapes.

Wine

Half a bottle of wine is included in the package per person.

Canape Menu

Wedding Breakfast

You can select from our range of carefully designed wedding menus by our Head Chef.

The Wedding Breakfast is traditionally a 3 course meal, followed by Tea and Coffee. Additional options are available at a supplement.

We do ask that you select a set menu for all of your guests to ensure we deliver an outstanding service.

We will invite you to The Dining Room for a complimentary menu tasting. If you require any advice regarding the menus, please do not hesitate to contact the hotel Wedding Coordinator.

Reception

As night falls, the dance floor is the place to be and your evening celebrations can start!

From the cutting of the cake to the first dance, lasting memories are created.

The Assembly Rooms can cater for 180 guests for an evening reception and will be redressed following your Wedding Breakfast. During this time your guests can relax, check-in and take in the beautiful surroundings of the Crescent.

Located in the beautiful Peak District, Buxton Crescent is easily accessible for your wedding guests.

With 81 luxurious bedrooms, from cosy Attic’s situated in the eaves of the Crescent to spacious Suites with scenic views, there’s plenty of space for your friends and family to celebrate in style. All guests receive complimentary access to the spa facilities until check out the following day. If this isn’t enough time to enjoy the facilities, why not add one of the relaxing spa day packages, to your stay. Spa packages and treatments can be booked through the Spa on 01298 808951.

Bridal Suite

Start forever together in one of our luxurious Bridal Suites! The Bridal Suite is included within your wedding package, for the wedding night.

We organised viewing the Assembly Rooms with the idea that we would see it and get it out of our system. How wrong we were. We changed our minds as soon as we stepped through the door, we couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. Planning a wedding during a global pandemic hasn’t been easy, Nicole was always on hand and great at suggesting ways in which our ideas would work on the day. She listened to everything we told her, no job was too big or too small.
