The venue offers elegant décor and impressive spaces, rich with heritage for your guests. Events can also include the added benefit of the wellness spa facilities and vast range of outdoor activities close by, thanks to our position on the edge of one of England’s most dramatic and beautiful National Parks.
This splendid 18th century ballroom has been magnificently restored to its original grandeur and is the hotel’s largest space. It accommodates up to 190 delegates theatre style and 120 guests for a banquet. The Parlour, which is on the ground floor of the Assembly Rooms, can be used as a separate private bar.
This is a light and airy room offering space for up to 60 delegates, theatre style and 40 for a banquet. This room has a period feature fireplace.
This flexible theatre style space is ideal for 60 delegates in or 40 guests for a banquet. The Drawing Room also works well as a larger syndicate space for conferences in The Assembly Rooms, due to its location.
This beautiful room has been restored to reveal its period features of pillars, ornate ceiling and cornicing, plus a large gilded mirror. It can accommodate 40 delegates theatre style and 24 guests for a banquet.
The Card Room adjoins The Assembly Rooms through a connecting door so it lends itself well as a buffet area for a larger function in that space. However, it’s also ideal as a self-contained, smaller meeting space for up to 26 delegates.
The Boardroom is an intimate setting for a formal meeting for up to 12 people, seated around the large wooden table. It also works beautifully for a small and elegant dining experience. This room connects to the ornately-decorated Blue Room via a small Juliette balcony.
The Parlour Bar is a dual aspect room, located on the ground floor close to all amenities, a fabulous space for small meetings or private functions. Along with the Ballroom and Card Room it is part of the wonderful Assembly Rooms and is utilised as the private bar for large functions.

“The Ensana Buxton Crescent recently hosted our annual company weekend away for 90+ guests coming from all corners of the UK and abroad, taking full exclusivity of the hotel for the weekend. Unique, stunning setting aside, the hotel was able to seamlessly meet all our needs from a gala dinner in the magnificent Assembly Room, to more informal gatherings including afternoon tea and work set up. The food and service were excellent throughout and just as important, the organization prior to the event was equally good. The addition of the natural spa with multiple thermal pools, including an open-air roof top option, combined with the hotel’s rich history, makes it a must for any discerning traveller or event organiser considering Buxton and the Peak District area. This was my first visit to Buxton but will not be the last. Thank you to all the team for a terrific weekend.”
I was fortunate enough to discover Ensana Buxton Crescent for a European press event for my automotive client who was hosting a driving experience in the area. The hotel worked perfectly given its proximity to Manchester, Birmingham and East Midlands Airport which meant direct flights for most attendees plus the regional train network for those based in the UK.
Buxton Crescent offer very comfortable rooms with all the necessary amenities, a stylish bar and restaurant and a wonderful spa which was appreciated by all of our guests. Our media also enjoyed the hotel's enviable location in the centre of Buxton with its excellent restaurants, shops, beautiful buildings and park right on the door step. Valet parking was available and ensured our fleet of staff cars were securely parked overnight in their offsite parking facility.
There was a hosted dinner each evening in the restaurant which focused on regional delicacies including lamb and local cheese. Service was executed brilliantly and the dinners were really well received. Breakfast offered great choice and set our guests up for a busy day ahead.
All of the hotel staff are to be recognised for their friendliness and kindness - they really made our group feel welcome at all times and nothing was too much trouble. In particular, thanks go to the sales team and my main contact, Alannah, who responded promptly to all pre-event communications, understood our clients' objectives and requests and then cascaded this perfectly to all of the relevant heads of department to ensure continuity.
I cannot recommend the hotel enough and would like to thank the entire team at Ensana Buxton Crescent for their part, no matter how big or small, in delivering a hugely successful event.
