What is the Bioptron Lamp

The Bioptron Lamp is a form of curative bio-stimulating polychromatic light combining polarised incoherent visible and infrared rays (480-3400 nm). Light polarisation assists with the stimulation of living tissues and supports cell development when there is contact between the light and the tissue.

How the Bioptron Lamp helps

The light is applied locally and has the effect of slowing down degenerative cell processes and accelerating the healing of wounds (like leg ulcers after the skin surface has been fully cleaned and debrided), skin grafts and scars. Since the treatment improves local circulation and also affects free nerve endings in the skin, it helps combat inflammation and pain. It is recommended for the prevention of bed sores in wheelchair users. It can also be used for relieving inflammation in the ears, nose and other cavities, as well as relieving pain in the locomotor system.

The Bioptron Lamp is safe to use for the illumination of the face and even in pregnancy and in children as it does not include UV rays.

Advisable for:

Rehabilitation after injuries or operations, low back or joint pains, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, inflammation of the ear, nose and throat, leg ulcers, acne, herpes, psoriasis, eczema, striae, scars, seasonal affective disorders, depression

Not advisable for:

Increased function of the endocrine glands (e.g. thyroid, adrenal), photoallergy, solar herpes, photodermatoses, lupus erythematodes, eye inflammations, retinal problems, consumption of photosensibilising drugs, corticosteroids, cytostatics or immunomodulators, organ transplants, epilepsy, acute thrombosis, phlebitis, alcohol or drug abuse, malignant tumours and blood disorders
