Group Therapeutic Exercises
What are group therapeutic exercise
Therapeutic exercise is a crucial part of the recovery process and is instrumental to any rehabilitation programme. This therapy is led by an expert physiotherapist, normally for a group of patients with a similar diagnostic profile. An example of our classes includes therapeutic exercise for spine or joint conditions, osteoporosis, obesity, cardiac patients or those with respiratory diseases. The number of people in the group depends on the space available for exercising. The exercises may be performed in a standing, sitting or lying position. A session lasts between 20-30 minutes. The frequency of repetition depends on the clients’ health condition.
How group therapeutic exercise helps
Exercises for any group therapy are chosen by the physiotherapist according to the diagnostic profile of the group. So they may focus for example on relaxing overloaded muscles, strengthening weak muscle groups, improving joint, spinal and pelvic mobility or on effective breathing. After a series of trainings you may observe improved overall fitness as well as speed, flexibility, endurance, balance, strength, etc.
