Bad Griesbach Events

The 150-year-old city theatre invites local and visiting ensembles to the stage for theatre performances, concerts, and folklore shows. Take a look at the current programme – you’re bound to find something of interest.

Tranquillity and Mediterranean flair in equal measure are offered by the heart of the Rottal thermal and climatic health resort: the Mediterranean-style spa square of Bad Griesbach. Similar to an Italian piazza, the cobbled square is lined with elegant houses in warm pastel tones. With their different gable shapes, they support the wide and open character of the square. The entrance area to the wellness spa is also located at the Kurplatz, and during the summer months and into autumn, spa concerts and open airs take place regularly.

Best entertainment with our quartet of soloists Bad Griesbach. The quartet entertains with lively salon music and lively classical music. Chamber musician Jochen Jauernig and his ensemble perform on Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m. The concert usually takes place on the Kurplatz, on special dates marked in the schedule and in case of bad weather, the musicians await you in the Recital Hall or in the Kursaal. Please pay attention to the displays. Admission is free with the spa and guest card.

The popular spa concerts take place every Saturday at 4 p.m. and every Sunday and public holiday at 11 a.m. In the months of June, July and August, evening concerts are also offered every Sunday at 8 pm. The town band of Bad Griesbach, bands from the surrounding area, and guest bands from Upper Austria will play. The city conductor Hans Killingseder is responsible for the spa concerts.
