Please note that starting 1 September 2021, in accordance with the latest statutory regulations, all individuals using accommodation services must comply with new data provision obligations at check-in.
Accordingly, when checking in, all guests must produce a document accepted as verification of personal identity. For Hungarian guests, a personal identification card, driver’s license, or passport may be used for this purpose. Guests arriving from the European Union may present a personal identification card or passport. For third country nationals only a passport will be accepted for the purposes of personal identification and document inspection.
The new regulation requires that this information be provided by all hotel guests and that the hotel, as service provider, refuse service to any guest who fails to comply.
