What is ergotherapy
Ergotherapy is a specific type of rehabilitation designed to improve the functional ability of the body in the activities of daily life, with the aim of improving self-reliance and independence. Therefore, ergotherapists may teach people how to dress, use a telephone, go to the toilet, etc.

How ergotherapy helps
Based on the condition of client, ergotherapy exercises may focus for example on the fine movement of the fingers (buttoning up clothes), gross movement of the arms, head, chest and spine (putting on a coat or trousers), etc. It is always customised according to individual needs and abilities.
